Taylor was born an only child in a typically traditional Shanghainese family, where she enjoyed all of grandma and grandpa's attention. That did not, however, destine her to the typical or traditional life of a Shanghainese girl!
Her professional life began in high school when she worked as a courier for an airline agency. Later she became a personal assistant for an art director at Wieden+Kennedy, then a logistics manager at SplitWorks, a local events agency. During her 2.5 years there, she coordinated a number of concerts and musical festivals headlined by international musical acts such as Maximo Park, Faithless, and Talib Kweli, and sponsored by international brands such as Bacardi, Converse and Smirnoff. These events were considered ground-breaking in China's live music scene. She eventually returned to Wieden+Kennedy as a creative interpreter, further refining her abilities to bridge Chinese and Western cultures down to even the finest points.
Taylor doesn't drink coffee because she's naturally full of energy every day. Her ideal Sunday involves a bike ride the French concession with her iPod, home-made pizza, friends and Wii gaming.
