Ray joined ?Whatif! Shanghai as Runner in 2006. Although Ray was born and raised in Shanghai, he is not your typical Shanghainese. He learned of ?What If! by delivering lunch to the Shanghai office. Recognizing many similarities between ?What If!'s philosophy and his own, he sold his stake in the sandwich business he helped to start and joined the team as a Runner.
