Frans-Jozef Rutjes

Frans-Jozef's life in marketing was kick-started by working for a puppeteer who insisted that theatre and business were a perfect marriage. Together they proved this point at Scandinavian design furniture company STOKKE. He then helped convince the same company to put a crying boy on the front of their baby product catalogue, breaking all the rules of the industry and boosting their brand recognition nearly overnight. Having grown up next to the Philips light bulb factory in the Netherlands, it was only a matter of time before he ended up working for them: at a London agency, he used Hollywood digital effects to breathe life into their products. He then spent the next 5 years preaching the value of truly loving your customers, helping organisations to appreciate this irrefutable truth and developing sympathetic campaigns and caring brands along the way. Since joining ?Whatif! FJ has worked for clients such as Carling, Durex, Astra Zeneca, Florette and Emirates.

Frans-Jozef lives in Manchester with his wife Hannah, his sons Fabian & Gabriel and still believes that theatre and business go together exquisitely.
